We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Clerk to join the Cabinet and Cluster Coordination team in Pretoria.

The Administrative Clerk: Cabinet and Cluster Coordination role is essential for ensuring smooth operations in the Department’s strategic decision-making processes. This position supports the flow of information, document management, and logistical coordination for Cabinet, FOSAD Cluster, and Implementation Forums — making it a key link between leadership and stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • 0–1 year administrative or clerical experience (graduates welcome).
  • Computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and administrative procedures.
  • Basic understanding of financial administration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Good telephone etiquette, professional grooming, and presentation skills.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

In this Administrative Clerk role, you will be responsible for:

Document & Information Management

  • Recording, organising, storing, and retrieving correspondence for Cabinet, FOSAD Cluster, and Implementation Forums.
  • Distributing official documents and packages to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate registers and filing systems for the sub-directorate.

Administrative Support

  • Handling routine enquiries and drafting responses to referrals, memos, and letters.
  • Typing official correspondence as needed.
  • Coordinating logistics for meetings, including booking venues and arranging catering.

Procurement & Financial Support

  • Processing travel, accommodation, and subsistence claims.
  • Capturing and updating expenditure records in the component.
  • Obtaining quotations, completing procurement forms, and maintaining asset registers.

Personnel Administration

  • Maintaining attendance and leave registers for the component.
  • Supporting HR-related processes when required.
