Requirements

To be considered for Assistant State Attorney, applicants must have:

• An LLB or 4-year recognized legal qualification.
• Admission as an Attorney.
• At least 2 years’ post-qualification legal/litigation experience.
• Sound knowledge of legal practice, office management, accounting systems, and trust accounts.
• Understanding of government prescripts, transformation objectives, and the Constitution of South Africa.
• Knowledge of legal proceedings including personal injury claims, contracts, labour cases, and criminal cases.
• A valid driver’s license.
