Capricorn TVET College is recruiting two reliable and safety-conscious Drivers to join the Central Office team in Limpopo. If you hold a valid Code 10 license with PDP, have experience in vehicle maintenance and transport logistics, and enjoy being part of a service-oriented environment, then this opportunity is for you!

Minimum Requirements

• Educational Qualification:
  • Minimum: Grade 10 / Standard 8 certificate
• Driver’s License:
  • Valid Code 10 driver’s license
  • Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is essential
• Work Experience:
  • 7–12 months of relevant experience as a driver or messenger

Knowledge and Skills for a Driver

To succeed in as a Driver role, candidates should demonstrate knowledge of:

• Motor vehicle maintenance procedures
  • Checking oil, water, fuel, tyre condition, and general mechanical soundness
• Trip authorization procedures and logbook completion
• Fuel usage tracking and mileage recording
• Vehicle inspection and reporting protocols
• Safe transportation of goods, materials, and passengers
• Office support services, such as routing documents and light messenger duties
• Use of photocopying machines as a secondary function

Key Responsibilities

As a Driver at Capricorn TVET College, you will:

• Transport staff, documents, and materials to various campuses and external locations as needed
• Inspect vehicles daily to ensure roadworthiness and safety
• Detect and report minor vehicle defects and arrange repairs when necessary
• Complete and maintain logbooks with trip details, fuel usage, and mileage logs
• Ensure trip authorizations are secured before all official journeys
• Keep accurate records of fuel consumption and kilometers travelled
• Support the office with general delivery and administrative assistance when not driving
