About the Administrative Officer Role
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) is seeking highly organized, motivated, and experienced individuals to fill seven (7) Administrative Officer vacancies. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of South Africa’s key public service departments and play a vital role in supporting court operations, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with financial and legal frameworks.
Minimum Requirements:
- A National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration / Public Management or related field
- Minimum 3 years administrative experience
- Sound knowledge of:
- Human Resource Management
- Risk and Supply Chain Management
- Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
- BAS & Justice Yellow Pages
- Financial management (Trust and Vote Accounts)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all administrative support functions within the magistrate’s office
- Manage and coordinate human resource and financial operations
- Implement and monitor risk, facilities, and security management systems
- Drive strategic and operational planning processes
- Provide case flow management support to judiciary and prosecution
- Ensure effective management of Civil, Criminal, and Family Court operations
- Supervise supply chain activities and procurement compliance
- Maintain accurate records for Trust and Vote accounts, ensuring PFMA compliance
