Capricorn TVET College is seeking proactive, detail-oriented Admin Clerks SHERQ to join its dynamic campuses in Limpopo. Whether you’re stationed at the bustling Polokwane Campus, the well-established Seshego Campus, or the growing Senwabarwana Campus, you will play a key role in upholding Occupational Health and Safety standards and supporting SHERQ initiatives.

Minimum Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Three-year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in:
    • Building Management
    • Safety Management
    • Construction Management
    • Environmental Health
    • Or related qualification

Experience:

  • 2–3 years in Facilities Management, SHERQ, or Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) environment
  • Fire Marshal and First Aid certifications (advantageous)

Additional Requirements for Admin Clerk SHERQ:

  • Computer literacy (certificate or Computer as a subject)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of:
    • Public Service Act & Regulations
    • Occupational Health & Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993)
    • Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA)
    • Immovable Asset Management Act
    • Fire control and facility management systems
    • Incident reporting processes and OHS protocols

Key Duties and Responsibilities

SHERQ & Compliance Support:

  • Assist with the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of SHERQ policies and systems
  • Ensure campus operations meet Occupational Health & Safety regulations

OHS Coordination:

  • Help establish and maintain OHS committees
  • Coordinate ongoing OHS-related training and education for staff and students
  • Facilitate risk assessments, incident reporting, and workplace hazard identification

Quality & Risk Monitoring:

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents and non-compliance
  • Maintain SHERQ documentation and participate in regular audits and inspections
  • Support in promoting a culture of safety and compliance across the college campuses
