About the the Facilitator Opportunity

The Facilitator: Panel Beating will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical training in Automotive Body Repair, mentoring students, and ensuring they are fully equipped with industry-standard skills and workplace readiness. You will act as both an instructor and a mentor, helping students develop technical ability, problem-solving skills, and professional discipline.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4
  • Recognised Trade Test in Automotive Body Repair

Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ hands-on industry experience in Automotive Body Repair
  • Experience in facilitating accredited skills programmes

Additional Competencies:

  • Qualified Assessor and Qualified Moderator certifications
  • SACE Registration (or proof of application)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence
  • Excellent planning, communication, and organisational skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate learning in Panel Beating, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements.
  • Prepare lesson plans, set and mark assessments, process marks, and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage and account for workshop resources, tools, and materials, including stock-taking.
  • Deliver practical demonstrations and theoretical lessons in Automotive Body Repair.
  • Assist in curriculum development and maintain compliance with accreditation requirements.
  • Support learners in achieving competency in both theory and practice.
  • Participate in moderation, assessment verification, and quality assurance processes.
  • Carry out administrative and academic duties related to the role.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the College.
