Requirements for Department of Basic Education Internship

  • Minimum: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • Graduate Internships: Relevant Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate Qualification in one of the listed fields
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Demonstrated interest in public service and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Selection Process

  1. Application Screening – All Z83 forms and CVs will be reviewed for eligibility.
  2. Shortlisting – Candidates who meet the requirements will be shortlisted.
  3. Interviews – Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews.
  4. Final Selection – Successful interns will be appointed and placed within DBE units.
